TNN1T1S PHASE

TNN1T1S PHASE

Clock-to-phase converter. PHASE carries one 0-10V ramp lap every LAP beats of CLK; the last pulse interval sets the slope, and the wire freezes when the clock stops. RATE speeds the lap up, as far as audio rate. RST snaps the lap to zero, DIRECTION reverses it, START and LEN window it.

TNN1T1S EXPR

TNN1T1S EXPR

A live-compiled equation on the wire, written the way Desmos writes it: y = a sin(bx), r = cos(4θ), (cos(3t), sin(2t)). Each undefined letter is a knob with CV. The domain is a restriction at the end of the equation, {0 ≤ x ≤ 16}, or 0 to 2π; LOOP and POS play an exact slice of it, so a loop meets itself at the wrap. The display draws the curve with the playhead on it. An equation that fails to compile changes nothing. Volts out, with gain, offset, limiting and smoothing.

Equations on a clock. PHASE turns a clock into a 0-10V ramp, one lap every few beats, that freezes when the clock stops. EXPR compiles an equation you type while the patch runs and plays it across that ramp, so the curve on the panel is the voltage on the cable.

  • Register for a VCV account and log in using Rack’s “Library” menu.
  • Add or purchase a module on the VCV Library.
  • Open the “Library” menu in Rack, click “Update all” (if updates are needed), and restart Rack once downloaded.
  • Right-click an empty rack space to launch Rack’s module browser to add a module to your patch.

All plugins on the VCV Library are available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The “major” version (i.e. MAJOR.MINOR.REVISION) must match between Rack and its plugins. For example, Rack 2.* can only load 2.* plugins.
