Roomi Fields OSC Controller

Song-form / arrangement sequencer. A linear chain of 8 phrases (bar-length sections); each phrase has a bar length, root + scale, BPM (linkable — a linked phrase inherits BPM/root/scale from the previous one), a gate out that stays high while it plays, and 4 channel enables. The 4 channels are per-instrument clock buses with clock division and CLOCK / BAR / RESET / EOC outputs each, muted on phrases where the channel is off — instruments drop in and out per phrase. Driven by a bar-rate clock. Master outs: phrase index (1V/phrase), BPM CV (for Meter), root + scale CV. The arrangement brain above Beat / Note / Chance.
SignalFunctionSet Play
Polyphonic multisample player. Loads SFZ instruments (including those written by Record) and plays them polyphonically via V/oct, gate, and velocity, with CV instrument selection and stereo output.
SignalFunctionSet Record
Multisample auto-sampler. Drives an external voice with V/oct, gate, and velocity and captures its stereo output across a chosen note range and velocity layers, then writes a folder of WAVs plus an .sfz manifest.
SignalFunctionSet Meter X
Expander for Meter. Adds a 24 PPQN clock, a Run gate, and Bar / 2 / 4 / 8 / 16 / 32 / 64 / 128-bar trigger outputs, each with an activity LED. Place directly to the right of a Meter.
VCV Library Instructions
- Download and install VCV Rack.
- Register for a VCV account and log in using Rack’s “Library” menu.
- Add or purchase a module on the VCV Library.
- Open the “Library” menu in Rack, click “Update all” (if updates are needed), and restart Rack once downloaded.
- Right-click an empty rack space to launch Rack’s module browser to add a module to your patch.
All plugins on the VCV Library are available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
The “major” version (i.e. MAJOR.MINOR.REVISION) must match between Rack and its plugins.
For example, Rack 2.* can only load 2.* plugins.
